Been using Kelly’s worms since I was about 7 yrs old. Hands down best products on the market for fishing. If ya not using them ya missing out

  4. Paul Lewandowski (verified owner)

Awesome product and consistent quality for decades!! I have been fishing the firetails since 2001 with exceptional results and higher strike rates than any other lure. We take them on our annual fishing trip in northern Michigan every year. We catch largemouth, smallmouth, pike (when they don’t bite through the worm), and every kind of pan fish you can imagine on these. Highly recommended!!

  5. TERRY BALL

    THEY ARE THE BEST

  6. Kurt Jones

Used them years ago and couldn’t remember the name found them in an old shop yesterday can’t wait to fish with them again. Only wish you maid a 3 hook weed less pad hopping the tails get bit off

  7. Phil Streible

Never bass fished before and bought this as an impulse buy. Caught 4 largemouth, 2 small mouth and a crappie!

  8. Bill Proietti

These are awesome! No matter what body of water, they catch fish!

  9. Dick Jacobs

I live in Naples Florida and have been using The Purple Yellowtail for years. It works well in the heavy undergrowth in our water. It is not the biggest worm I have used, but it will catch 6 and 7 pounders just the same. I do not use any other worm. It has that natural fish smell to the fish and they will sometimes hit it on the bottom just sitting there.

  10. Terry Woodyard

These are always a staple in my tackle box for the past 33 years. My grandfather gave me my first on when I was about 6-7 yrs old. This lure has landed more fish than any other artificial ever.

I really haven’t tried any other color except the purple and white ones. But reading some of the other testimonials I think I may have to try those as well. Thank you for making a great product!

  11. Andy

Fished these for decades. Just about everything will hit these baits. Big bass bait!

  12. Gary D Leffler

Impossible to go wrong with the Purple fire tail beginner or long timer it’ll put a smile on your face every time!

  13. Yvonna

I first bought the black and pink fire tail and was catching quite a few bass today so I went back and bought 8 more of purple and pink and some other bright colors!!! I thought for the price that they wasnt going to work but they sure do!!! I cant wait to go to Lake Erie and go fishing to see what I catch on them there!!! I highly recommend these and I dont think I will ever buy live worms again!!!! 🙂

I’m a girl who has been bass fishing Minnesota lakes since I could cast. My parents used to tie my pole to the boat when I was small so I wouldn’t cast it into the lake 🙂 I have used the purple firetail almost exclusively for bass fishing….I am frequently criticized for my old school tactics, cheap poles and closed face reels (red reel abu garcias). My manly friends spend 1000’s of dollars on tackle and then I get to outfish them quietly with my “junk”. These worms are my secret!

  15. Mark Jones

I have used fire tails in Indiana and North Carolina and Bass justbkill these worms. I keep my tackle box well stocked with them.

Since I reviewed in 2014, the purple fire tail just keeps getting better and better. I use senko, mepp’s gold with squirrel tail, rapala and some other plastics once in a while. None of these ever give me 10% of the big bass action of the the this Kelly worm. My tackle fits in my pocket. Even the folks with live minnows are amazed at the fish I catch. I have shared them with friends, most become instant converts.

I used the purple firetail when I fished a lot in my younger days (over 20 years ago). I didn’t have much money and it was one of the few lures I had. I lived it. Now I’m get back into fishing and I’m so excited to see these are still around. I ordered 1 of every color and 3 of the purple firetails.

A guy from Ohio named Spurgeon Fosnaugh put me on to the Reveille Junior approximately 30 years ago. I have fished many US lakes and rivers and Canadian waterways and have never come home empty. I have a box full of tackle but all I use is the Kelly Revielle. Bass, Crappie, Perch. Rock Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Carp, and even Walleye are attracted like a magnet. My nephew catches trout on it. I also use the firetails but always go back to the peachie and black Revielle

  19. ELAINE MOORE

No kidding, I have caught dozens of monster bass on the purple fire tail. Today, on Kayak float down beautiful Cheat river in West Virginia probably caught 40 Rockbass. What fun!!!

I ordered a variety of worms from this site, 16 of various models and color, no repeats. I haven’t even gotten through 2 Packs of the 16 and I have some favorites. One was actually a free sample, the Firetail Pumpkin-Seed/Chartruese Firetail. I came on here to find it and found that it was a freebie on my invoice. Fishing with it at dusk, it is a Bass/Trout star. Very impressesed. I was weary of the small hooks, but was surprised that the bass are getting double hooked a lot of times with the front and back hook. The worms are also showing they are tough, multiple catches on the same worm. I am 10% in the weeds kind of caster 🙂 so a tough worm set up is nice. We are attaching these pre-strung worms to a swivel off the rod the ends with a clip. Just hook the on the clip, or change to another color quickly. Awesome. Sell the Pumpkin one BassTackleUSA!!!

  24. Brock Schwindt

I have been using these for over 10 years. They are always my go to lure. When nothing else works, you will catch something with these. I have always been a huge fan of the purple firetail. Have not really tried any other colors because I have always had awesome luck with them! You guys are awesome Thanks for many years of awesome fishing.

  25. Ryan Dawson

Started fishing with these yesterday when a friend introduced them to me. We fished at a pond where we hadn’t pulled out a big bass in a couple years and we pull out three 7 lb. + fish.

I bought a few different colors at Reddings Hardware in Gettysburg PA. I caught a nice 14” Large mouth with an Orange/Chartreuse Fitretail in the Izaak Walton pond in Leetown WV. 5-24-14
